Trayectoria

  1. 1818Omi merchant Yamanaka Shokichi began sake brewing in Fujinomiya during the Bunsei era (1818-1830), later establishing four breweries around the Fuji area.
  2. 1929Hyoji, the second son of Yamanaka Shokichi, branched off and founded Yamanaka Shuzo Goshigaisha in Yokosuka (present-day Kakegawa City).
  3. 1986Second-generation Takashi Yamanaka began brewing the Aoitenka brand.
  4. 1986Aoitenka received its first gold award at the National New Sake Appraisal.
  5. 1999The brewery began having the brewery owner personally handle brewing, rather than relying on a toji or brewery workers.
  6. 2020Hisanori Yamanaka, the third son, became representative partner.
  7. 2021The company reorganized as a stock corporation and joined the Hamatomo Group, renaming itself Enshu Yamanaka Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.
