Kujira Junmai Ginjo verwendet Yamada Nishiki, der auf 50% poliert wurde, aus Chiyoshuzous eigenen Vertragsreisfeldern in Gose City, Nara. Seit der ehemalige Winzer Tetsuya Sakai 2007 die Leitung übernahm, hat das Kujira-Label weingeprägte Präzision entwickelt und produziert klaren, terroirorientierten Sake aus dem Katsuragi-Bergquellwasser.
