Tokubetsuhonjozo Miyanomatsu is a specially designated honjozo sake from Matsuoshuzojo in Saga Prefecture, incorporating a modest addition of distilled alcohol alongside rice polished to a level that exceeds standard honjozo specifications. The tokubetsu classification acknowledges either premium rice sourcing or a polishing ratio that brings this honjozo closer to ginjo territory in terms of refinement. Saga's soft water and mild Kyushu climate contribute to the clean, approachable character typical of the Miyanomatsu brand.
