历史与媒体
历史
1917
Soko Kakizaki, disappointed that the town of Hiraka had no sake brewery despite its ideal location for sake brewing, gathered local supporters and founded Asamai Shuzo Co., Ltd. in Asamai, Hirakamachi, Akita Prefecture, with capital of 20,000 yen.
1934
Awarded a special prize at a national sake fair, and a prize of excellence for four consecutive years.
1943
Wartime business consolidation forced the brewery to close, but strong local demand to preserve Amanoto reached the Ministry of Finance, and a new sake brewing license was issued as a special exception, allowing the brewery to resume operations on December 6 of the following year.
1968
Among the first in Japan to produce and sell special-class (tokkyu) junmai sake, becoming the first brewery in Akita Prefecture to do so.
2010
Won its 10th gold medal at the National New Sake Awards using reduced-pesticide, reduced-chemical-fertilizer 'Akita Sake Komachi' rice, prompting the brewery to move toward brewing all of its sake as Junmai-shu.
2012
Won a gold medal at the National New Sake Awards in only its second year of exclusively brewing junmai sake, and has since won a total of 13 gold medals.
2016
Won the top prize in the Junmai Daiginjo category at the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
2020
"Amanoto Junmai Daiginjo 35" won the Platinum Prize (top award) in the Junmai Daiginjo category at Kura Master, and was selected among the top 18 sake overall across all categories.
