Toyojiman is produced by Miura Sake Brewery, founded in 1930 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture under the philosophy of Wa-jo Ryo-shu: making delicious sake through cooperation and harmony. The brand's identity is built around Toyojiman rice, an Aomori-exclusive sake rice variety trademarked by the brewery, polished in-house using the brewery's own equipment, while brewers participate directly in planting season alongside their farmer partners. National recognition came after Toyojiman Junmai Nama Genshu won a gold award in a gourmet magazine dancyu feature, transforming the brand from a regional sake into a nationally sought label.
