Ryuonomai is produced by Kanzaki Shuzo, a brewery with roots in the Harima region of Hyogo Prefecture that was reconstituted after World War II through the merger of three local breweries. The brand name evokes a traditional harvest celebration dance of the Harima region, and sake is brewed in small 500kg batches using the traditional fukuro shibori bag-hanging press method.
