History
1824
Seiroku Shigeno founded Shigeno Sake Brewery in Muramatsu-Nakamachi (Bunsei 7).
1907
The brewery acquired the soon-to-close Mitozuru sake brewery and established it as the Kamimachi plant (Meiji 40).
1926
The company closed its pharmacy business and consolidated fully into sake brewing (Taisho 15).
1948
The sake brand 'Kinshihai' was launched (Showa 23).
1952
Kinshihai Shuzo Co., Ltd. was formally established (Showa 27).
1983
The sake brand 'Echigo Toji' was launched (Showa 58).
2002
The premium sake brand 'Kinuotome' was launched (Heisei 14).
2014
Tomoyuki Shigeno became president, with Koichi Shigeno moving to chairman (Heisei 26).
