History
1906
The haiku poet Santoka Taneda (born Shoichi Taneda), then 25, started a sake brewing business under his own name; the site later became the ruins of the company's Hofu factory.
1916
After 11 years, the sake business run under Shoichi Taneda's own name ended in Taisho 5 (1916).
2003
"Santoka" won the gold prize at the National New Sake Awards hosted by the National Research Institute of Brewing.
2004
"Santoka" won the gold prize at the same awards again.
2006
"Santoka" won the gold prize at the same awards again.
