Sanshoraku
Sanshoraku Shuzo was established in the Meiji era in Gokayama, one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Toyama Prefecture, a remote mountain village famous for its historic gassho-zukuri farmhouses. The brewery draws water from springs fed by a primeval beech forest that the community has long protected as a natural barrier against avalanches, lending the sake a distinctively mellow character. Sanshoraku is brewed with the aim of making a 'soft, plump liquor with a taste,' designed to stand alongside the bold mountain foods of the region.
