Kimusume Shuzo was established in 1873 in Nakanojo, Gunma Prefecture, and their Sakuyabi brand has drawn increasing attention in recent years for its award-winning profile, balancing traditional brewing methods with a contemporary approach to aromatics. The brand name Sakuyabi is written with characters evoking blooming beauty, in the spirit of Konohanasakuya-hime, the Japanese deity of flowers. Products under the Sakuyabi label span junmai ginjo and junmai daiginjo expressions, as well as seasonal unfiltered and lightly cloudy releases.
