Kamenoishuzou, established in 1875 in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, draws the name Kudokijozu from a Sengoku-era warlord who achieved his goals through sincerity and charisma rather than force. Over 70 percent of the brewery's output is ginjo-class sake, with an average rice polishing ratio of 50 percent across all production, reflecting a consistent commitment to premium brewing that has gained the brand a following both domestically and among international sake enthusiasts.
