Kamogawa

Kamogawa Shuzo was founded in 1741 in Yamagata Prefecture and has passed down the traditional kimoto brewing method for nearly 285 years, with all four core ingredients, including rice, water, koji, and yeast, sourced from within Yamagata Prefecture. The brewery won gold medals at the National New Sake Appraisal in 1991 and 1994, and its Kimoto Classic line is crafted with deliberate attention to Yamagata's terroir, yielding sake with mild acidity, full rice flavor, and a clean, melting finish. The brewery's portfolio includes multiple brands such as Hinodekamogawa and the heritage Zuiroyouzan.
