Kamenoi

Kamenoi Sake Brewery was founded in 1875 in Tsuruoka, Yamagata Prefecture, and built its national reputation after the fifth-generation owner launched the Kudoki Jozu brand in 1983. The name Kudoki Jozu, meaning one who persuades well, was inspired by the idea that great warlords succeed through conviction and charisma. Operating as an exclusively ginjo-grade brewery, Kamenoi mills rice to an average polishing ratio of 46 percent across the entire lineup, with all products kept under refrigeration from production through shipment to preserve their delicate character.
