Sake Brand
Akagisan
Akagisan is the flagship brand of Kondo Shuzo, founded in 1875 in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, built around the philosophy of producing only crisp, dry sake using the pristine subterranean water that filters down from the slopes of Mount Akagi. The brewery won a gold prize at the National New Sake Review and positions Akagisan as a clean, food-friendly sake capable of accompanying any meal. The brand is a separate line from the Hanahimesakura produced by the Kondo Shuzo in Ehime Prefecture, reflecting the shared name of two distinct breweries.
