Description

Rise Up, KESEN is an all-Iwate junmai that uses the prefecture's proprietary Reimei Hiraizumi koji mold alongside locally grown rice, water, and yeast. Developed as a tribute to the Kesen coast communities affected by the 2011 tsunami, it carries a soft, understated aroma and a warm, full-bodied rice character.

Although it was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we borrowed a factory of the same company and resumed sake brewing. I am doing my best to return to the Kesen area where I have been making sake.
