Description

Namacho (nama-chozo) honjozo from Yoshino Shuzo in Chiba, brewed with Koshihikari rice polished to 60% and stored unpasteurized before a single heat treatment at bottling. The result is a slightly off-dry, light-bodied sake with a gently fresh quality carried by Koshihikari's characteristic softness.

Yoshino Sake Brewery was founded in the late Edo period during the Tempo period (1830). The motto is "make good sake with a good environment". It uses clear natural water that springs out of the vast private land, and inherits traditional sake brewing. A regular winner of the Gold Award. Recently famous as a TV location.
