Description
The Josen-grade expression of the Koyasan label from Wakayama's Tenchoushimamura Shuzo, introduced to honor the Kobo Daishi centennial in 1984. Brewed in the brewery's soft-water style, it delivers a mild, clean profile with moderate dryness.

In the Meiji era, it was sold in brands such as "World King" and "Chrysanthemum". In the early Taisho era, Hitohiko Asuka was assigned to the 61st Regiment in Wakayama, and when he lived in a villa of the Shimamura family, he was officially named "Tencho". For about half a century, it is one of the few sake breweries in Wakayama Prefecture, which has been offering a sake "Tenpo" to the Emperor's family with special permission.
The characters of the label such as "Junjin" and "Kumanoji" were written by Irie Aigo, who was the chief of the Emperor Showa.
