Description

Hanataka Junmai Daiginjo is a seasonal-release from Hamashima Shuzo in Bungo-Ono, Oita, brewed with the locally grown Ooitamii (Oita Mitsui) rice variety that the brewery has cultivated on its own farmland since 2006. The entirely hand-crafted production process reflects the brewery's revival in 1997 after a 17-year hiatus, when the brewer personally led the craftsmen back to small-batch brewing. Seasonal availability makes it a rare expression of Oita's terroir in a daiginjo-class sake.
