A ginjo from this Kanazawa brewery, founded in 1868 and named for its founding location in the former village of Gosho. Made with Yamada Nishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 55%, using soft Hakusan mountain spring water. The profile is lean and dry with a broth-like depth and faint chocolatey nuttiness rather than overt fruit.

Surrounded by the forest of the northeastern part of Kanazawa, it is a brewery made by a floating roof building that is quietly stuck. It is one of the small brewers in Japan, and only sells directly in the neighborhood. "Goshoizumi Ginjo" (formerly first -class liquor) pursues the real thing, uses only local rice -based rice -only rice, and has a average rice policy of 58 %. It is a wonderfully harmonious liquor.
