에도 중기인 덴메이 원년(1781년)에 시와 슈조로 창업했습니다. 전신은 엔포 연간(1670년대)에 이와테 최초로 '맑은 술'을 만든 '곤베이 주점'으로, 이후 이 양조장의 기반이 되었습니다. 남부 도리의 정통을 계승하며 연간 500석 규모로 준비 전 과정에 정성을 다해 '이와테다운 술'을 목표로 소량 양조하고 있습니다.
