야마키 양조장은 도쿠가와 막부 말기인 분에이 2년(1862년)에 창업하였습니다. 창업자는 야쓰가타케 남쪽 기슭의 카이노쿠니 쿠로사와 마을에서 양조를 시작하였으며, 창업 이래 술의 이름은 '카이 오토코야마'와 '코(가부토) 마사무네'였습니다. 오토코야마 술의 인연은 교토의 이와시미즈 하치만구 신사에서 비롯되었으며, 당시 이 신사는 오토코야마 하치만구라 불리며 술과 관련된 신을 모시고 있었습니다.

- 1862Yamaki Naeimon, then a local landowner in the village, founded "Yamaki Shuzo" sake brewery.
- 1977The brewery was renamed to Yamaki Shuzoten Co., Ltd.
- 1988Launched "Mikonomai," a Junmai Daiginjo sake milled to 35%.
- 2014The toji (master brewer), who had served for 35 years, retired, and the 5th-generation head of the family began brewing.
- 2015Launched "Naka," a Junmai sake under the Kai Otokoyama brand.
- 2020"Naka" and "Karakuchi-zukuri" received an award of excellence at the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's sake tasting competition.
