Le Soukou Honjozo 1984 de Kuramitsu Shuzo tire son nom de l'année 1984 et représente la tradition honjozo de la seule brasserie de sake d'Oita, fondée en 1864. Il est brassé avec l'eau souterraine de la rivière Ono selon l'approche artisanale en petits lots développée sur quatre générations, qui sous-tend toutes les expressions Soukou.
