- 1958Sanwa Shurui Co., Ltd. was founded, with head office established at Yamamoto, Ekigawa-machi, Usa-gun, Oita.
- 1958Licensed a joint sake storage and bottling facility with Akamatsu Honke Shuzo, Kumanomido Shuzojo and Wada Shuzojo, adopting 'Wakabotan' as their unified sake brand.
- 1959Nishi Shuzojo joined the joint venture.
- 1961Head office relocated to Beppu, Ekigawa-machi, Usa-gun, Oita.
- 1972The four sake breweries formally merged into a single company.
- 1974Launched the fruit wine 'Ajimu Wine'.
- 1979Launched the barley shochu 'iichiko'.
- 1983Opened the Yamamoto plant.
