1819
Founded as a sake brewery in Tokuyama, Yamaguchi Prefecture, in the second year of the Bunsei era (1819).
1898
Filed a trademark application for the brand name "Hatsumomiji" (初紅葉).
1928
Incorporated as Harada Sakaba Co., Ltd.
1945
The brewery buildings were completely destroyed in the WWII air raid on Tokuyama.
1960
Merged with Sanei Shuzo.
1985
Temporarily suspended sake production.
2004
Renamed the company "Hatsumomidi Co., Ltd." following the municipal merger that formed Shunan City.
2019
Celebrated the brewery's 200th anniversary; Yasuhiro Harada became the 12th-generation head of the brewery.
