Miyaizumi Meijo, operating from a 400-year-old brewing lineage in the Aizu region of Fukushima, launched Sharaku in 2008 as a deliberate push to elevate the brewery's craft through a complete overhaul of its brewing system. Crafted exclusively with designated sake-brewing rice polished ten percent beyond the standard, Sharaku quickly earned recognition for its delicate, mellow character and has since become one of Fukushima's most celebrated labels.
