Sasanokawa Shuzo, founded in 1765 in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, has earned the nickname Wind Sake Brewery for the sake it describes as born from the wind that sweeps down from Mt. Bandai across the Michinoku plains. Beyond its sake lineup, the brewery is also the oldest craft whisky distiller in the Tohoku region, reflecting a philosophy of adaptation and perseverance over more than 250 years.
