Kagataiko

Nakamura Shuzo Co., Ltd. was established in the early 1800s near the base of Mount Hakusan in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, one of Japan's most culturally rich regions. The brewery defines its purpose as refining local resources into attractive sake, using Noto-region cultivated Yamada Nishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice within its framework of 'locally brewed sake made with local ingredients, techniques, and climate.' Kagataiko is the brewery's flagship brand, carrying forward this commitment to Ishikawa's terroir-driven brewing philosophy.
