Sake Brand
Goshun
Goshun has been brewing in Ikeda, just outside Osaka, since the early 1700s and takes its name from a celebrated Edo-period painter, connecting the brand to the artistic heritage of the region. The brewery is the last remaining kura from what was once a town of 38 breweries, producing only three sake styles and bottling exclusively in the traditional 1.8-liter isshobin. Without a website, email, or delivery service, Goshun sells out every year through faxed orders from long-standing customers who collect their allocation in person.
