The brand name references Mount Futamo, behind the town, historically significant as the site where Toyotomi Hideyoshi established his base camp during his campaign against the Mouri clan. The brewery follows the Bichu toji tradition, a regional brewing style specific to this part of Okayama, and foregoes modern electronics in favor of maximizing the natural environment and handcraft.
