Established in 1917 by sake industry founders from western Japan, Fukubijin Shuzo was built in the renowned sake town of Saijo, Hiroshima Prefecture, and quickly earned the nickname the sake brewing school of Saijo as brewers from across the country came to study its techniques. The brand name reflects both the place name Fukujin and the aspiration to produce sake with a full-bodied and gentle character, a style defined by pleasant umami and clean finish.
