Sake Brand
Akitabare
Akitabare(秋田晴) is a sake brand crafted by Akita Shuzo Co., Ltd. in Akita, Japan. Explore their full lineup of 10 sakes on OneSip.
Akita Shuzo, whose predecessor Kunimanzai Shuzo began brewing in 1908 in Akita Prefecture, merged with its bottling affiliate in 2012 to form the present company. Akitabare is brewed entirely from Akita Prefecture ingredients, including the locally developed sake rice Gin no Sei, which is steamed in traditional cast iron cauldrons and fermented slowly at low temperatures. The brand's daiginjo has won gold at the Wine Glass de Oishii Nihonshu Award three consecutive years, from 2022 through 2024.
