Tokubetsu Junmai é muito bom puro, aquecido ou gelado. Quando aquecido ou servido em temperatura ambiente, harmoniza bem com pratos levemente temperados e saborosos, como quiche de cogumelos, enguia grelhada sem molho, sopa de missô e frango assado. Servido em temperatura ambiente, combina muito bem com queijo gorgonzola e queijos brancos envelhecidos de sabor moderado, como cheddar e gruyère. Servido gelado, este sake complementa aperitivos delicados, peito de frango grelhado, queijo gouda de ovelha, gruyère jovem e queijos muito cremosos e suaves, como o Brillat Savarin.
