Takakiya is the flagship brand of Hamashima Shuzo, a fifth-generation family brewery established in 1889 in Bungo-Ono, Oita Prefecture. The brewery suspended operations for 17 years and relaunched in 1997 with an unwavering commitment to fully handmade, small-batch production and estate-grown rice across 13 hectares.
