Description

Fujii Honke's Kyokujitsu (Rising Sun) brand comes from an 1831-founded brewery in Aisho-cho, Shiga, whose main house and brewing structures are designated Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan. The brewery uses the labor-intensive kimoto method with spring water fed by snowmelt from the Suzuka Mountains, producing sake with refreshing acidity and full body, the same dedication to tradition that earned it the honor of supplying ritual sake to the Imperial Court since 1945.
