Description

Imajo Shukubanosake Namachozoshu from Hakukoma Shuzo celebrates the brewery's location in Imanosho, an Edo-period waystation on the Hokuriku highway. Cold storage after brewing preserves the freshness of this unpasteurized sake while allowing gradual development of complexity, suitable as a refreshing companion to the earthy, seasonal flavors of Fukui cuisine. The shukuba (post-town) naming connects the sake directly to the local history of hospitality and travel that shaped Imanosho's character.
