Description
Honjouzou Iizunamiyama from Iiyama Shuzo in northern Nagano takes its name from the Iizuna and Miyama mountain areas of the region, connecting the sake to the pure snowmelt water and cold climate that define northern Nagano's brewing environment. As a honjozo, a small addition of distilled alcohol lightens the body and sharpens the aroma, resulting in a clean, crisp sake suited for everyday drinking. The mountain-region water gives it a particularly smooth, refreshing finish associated with high-altitude brewing.
