Description
Homei Nigoriume is a cloudy plum liqueur from Houmeishuzou in Hyogo's Tanba-Sasayama region, made by steeping ume plums in an alcoholic base and retaining some of the plum's natural solids for a milky, opaque appearance. The cloudy texture adds a creamy richness to the tart-sweet plum flavor, distinguishing it from clear umeshu and giving it a more fruit-forward, textural drinking experience. Its balance of plum acidity and residual sweetness reflects the traditional Japanese approach to ume liqueur production.
