Named after the folkloric sleepy hero Netaro, this 'one-year Netaro' from Masukagami in Kamo City, Niigata, is a tokubetsu junmaishu aged for a full year in an earthenware jar at 15°C. The extended maturation mellows the sake into a rounded, richly flavored expression with depth beyond its classification.
