Ginban Daiginjo Banshu 50 uses Yamada Nishiki from the Banshu region of Hyogo Prefecture, the most prestigious growing area for this rice variety, polished to 50% at Ginban Shuzo in eastern Toyama. Tateyama Mountain snowmelt water from one of Japan's highest peaks provides the mineral-clean foundation for this classic daiginjo.
