Ritsurin Junmai Rokugohigashine se elabora con Misato Nishiki cultivado al pie de los montes Ou, en la zona montañosa de Rokugo Higashine, donde el arroz se produce con el frío agua de las montañas. Aunque los rendimientos son bajos, esta región es reconocida desde hace mucho tiempo por la excepcional calidad de su arroz. Yoshiyuki Konishi y Nagahiro Sakamoto comenzaron a cultivar este Misato Nishiki desde 2015. El arroz de este terroir se comercializa bajo la etiqueta 'Kuribayashi' Rokugo Higashine.
