Kujira Junmai Ginjo utiliza Yamada Nishiki pulido al 50% de los campos de arroz contratados de Chiyoshuzou en Gose City, Nara. Desde que el exvinicultor Tetsuya Sakai asumió la dirección en 2007, la etiqueta Kujira ha desarrollado una precisión de influencia vinícola, produciendo sake limpio y orientado al terroir que extrae su carácter del agua de manantial de la montaña Katsuragi.
