Hakkoda Oroshi Junmai Ginjo Hanafubuki utiliza arroz Hanafubuki (Ventisca de Cerezo), una variedad de arroz para sake desarrollada en Aomori, pulido al 50 % en Hamanatsu Shuzo. El arroz cultivado localmente aporta un carácter distintivo, suave y ligeramente redondo, que se combina naturalmente con el estilo de fermentación limpio a baja temperatura practicado en esta destilería de Aomori.
