Ritsurin Junmai Rokugohigashine wird aus Misato Nishiki hergestellt, der am Fuß des Ou-Gebirges in der Bergregion Rokugo Higashine angebaut wird, wo der Reis mit kaltem Bergwasser produziert wird. Obwohl die Erträge gering sind, ist diese Region seit Langem für die außergewöhnliche Qualität ihres Reises bekannt. Yoshiyuki Konishi und Nagahiro Sakamoto begannen 2015 mit dem Anbau dieses Misato Nishiki. Der Reis aus diesem Terroir wird unter dem Label 'Kuribayashi' Rokugo Higashine vermarktet.
