Received a brewing storehouse from the Inaba domain lord and began producing sake "Hi no De Tsuru"; company founding (Man'en 1).
1919
Renamed the flagship brand to "Ichinoide" after the local place name; introduced bottling ahead of the industry (previously sold in casks).
1933
Incorporated as "Kuge Honten Limited Partnership" with 500,000 yen capital.
1979
Launched the daiginjo "Kei".
2005
Converted from a limited partnership to a stock company, "Kuge Honten Co., Ltd.", increasing capital to 10 million yen.
2008
Launched tokubetsu junmai "Ichinoide" using locally grown Wakamizu rice from Usuki; won gold at the National New Sake Awards for three consecutive years (2006-2008).
2014
Launched the tokubetsu junmai unfiltered raw sake "USUKI" using locally grown Wakamizu rice.
2015
Usuki City's "Kanpai Ordinance" (toast ordinance), which the company had lobbied for, went into effect.
