Founded (Taisho 12).
1954
Incorporated as Nakaoki Shuzoten Co., Ltd. (Showa 29).
2000
Released 'Junmaishu Sakenohana', a junmai sake made with the rare rice variety 'Sakenohana' (Heisei 12).
2006
Switched to using only Yamagata-grown rice for all sake production (Heisei 18).
2010
Switched to producing only tokutei meishoshu (premium designated sake) (Heisei 22).
2011
Won the gold medal at the National New Sake Awards for 'Junmai Daiginjo Joshin', brewed 100% with Yamagata's sake rice 'Dewasansan' (Heisei 23).
2015
Began producing junmai daiginjo using Yamagata's new sake rice variety 'Yukimegami' (Heisei 27).
2017
'Junmai Daiginjo Joshin Yukimegami' won gold at the Wine Glass Award for Japanese Sake and gold at France's Kura Master 2017 competition (Heisei 29).
