From the brewery

In 1849, the Morin Sake Brewery headed in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Since its inception, it has been making sake by Nambu Tori, who makes use of handmade traditions. It features the original rich and rich and tasteful flavor of sake unique to handmade. Sake rice is aimed at sake brewing that combines the flavor of Tanran and flavor using the "Kura no Hana" from Miyagi Prefecture. (KURAND)

Founder Tamizo established Morinokikukawa Shuzo Honke (Meiji-era Kaei 2) in Sendai's Aramachi district, drawn by its clear spring water, after peddling traditional amazake in the Nanbu region.
2022
After the brewery's first major renovation in 173 years, the company began brewing in a new kura and launched its new flagship brand 'Moritami' with six varieties, alongside opening the amazake cafe 'Moritami Sabo' on the brewery grounds.
