Nagai Sake was founded in 1886 in Kawaba Village, Gunma Prefecture, inspired by the pristine spring waters and mountain scenery surrounding the brewery, and its Tanigawadake brand is named for Mt. Tanigawadake, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains. Designed as a pure sake that moderates sweetness, sourness, and aroma to pair naturally with Japanese, French, and Italian cuisine, Tanigawadake has won the National Sake Awards' Gold Prize 16 times. The brewery's dedication to reflecting the mountain's natural purity through careful brewing has made Tanigawadake a benchmark for Gunma sake.
