Founded in 1872, Kumazawa Brewing Company has operated as the only remaining sake brewery in the Shonan coastal region of Kanagawa Prefecture. The brewery draws on spring water from the Tanzawa mountain range and uses locally grown agricultural produce, crafting the Shokou line of ginjo-style sake alongside craft beer at its historic Chigasaki site. Kumazawa's philosophy centers on expressing Shonan's local culture through fermentation, contributing to the community through both sake and food.
