Shiragiku has been produced by Hiroseshoten since 1805 in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where the brewery sits between Mount Tsukuba and Lake Kasumigaura and draws on groundwater from the Tsukuba mountain system. For over 200 years, the brewery has pursued a sake that does not tire the palate, working equally well at room temperature or warmed, and uses locally developed rice varieties adapted to Ibaraki's growing conditions. The Shiragiku name pairs white for clarity with chrysanthemum for fragrance, capturing the brewery's long-standing ideal of clean, enduring flavor.
