Kure is brewed by Nishioka Shuzoten in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, a port city with a brewing heritage shaped by the same soft-water ginjo tradition that defines the region. The brewery produces sake drawn directly from the tank, unfiltered and unprocessed, including a Special Junmai and a Junmai Ginjo, reflecting a commitment to fresh, minimal-intervention brewing. Kure's identity as a sake brand is rooted in the city itself, named for the naval port that shaped its modern history.
